Catacomb Media made its debut into entertainment in 2004 with the first "Rhyme Spitters" MC battle, held in Chicago. In an effort to raise awareness of Chicago's unique and often overlooked independent Hip-Hop battle scene, an all city competition was held to find Chicago's best Battle MC. In addition to the contest itself, the whole event was documented in the first of four Rhyme Spitters Documentary Films. In the years that followed, each of the four Rhyme Spitters events grew in both size and prestige.

In 2010, Catacomb Media extended its unique brand of live entertainment into the realm of beauty and talent, with the unconventional "Miss Wicker Park" web site and pageant. Beginning in May of 2010 with the launch of the Miss Wicker Park web site, thousands of fans and contestants logged in to begin a month long online voting process to select the top ten finalists. In June, the finals were held at the Double Door, which was broadcast live over the internet, and where online viewers cast their votes.

Amidst the success of the Miss Wicker Park pageant, which generated over 2.8 million page views in a matter of weeks, Catacomb Media is using this momentum to launch a series of new online and live entertainment projects. Keep an eye out for OpenWild.com: a new way to freelance online, Revelection.com: a new way to share political viewpoints and track campaigns, Gigity.TV: a platform for delivering live concerts to internet viewers all over the world, and the upcoming Rhyme Spitters 5 Invitational MC Battle, coming this December 10th at the Double Door.
